HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Employers contact Grab a Grad with a vacancy which is then advertised (anonymously) within our database of graduates. All graduates on our database have filled out a Grab a Grad profile, which acts as a CV snapshot and enables us to select the best matches for the jobs.
2. After interviewing potential applicants, a pre-determined number of graduate Grab a Grad profiles are sent through to the employer to make the final selection. Grab a Grad acts as a referral service but does not create contracts or guarantee placements of work.
3. It is then the responsibility of the employer to continue with their usual hiring process, including reference checking, interviews and creation of contracts.
(Please note that Grab a Grad is currently only available within the Wellington region.)
IS THERE A COST?
Grab a Grad is operating an unusual payment system for the first 8 weeks of operation which will be reassessed on May 1 2016. We know many small businesses are cash poor but have amazing goods and services to boot! Therefore Grab a Grad will find you suitable graduates and in return you will be able to give a koha in the form of any goods, service or skills you wish to offer.
